ABOUT US
Hummingbird Publications is a publication company which caters towards new and upcoming artists from any creative space.

Our primary goal is to publish original texts from emerging artists from any genre, building a strong creative network along the way. Starting with anthology work, it is within our long term plans to expand our published manuscripts into as many formats as possible, as well as create open spaces for developing new ideas and writers rooms for collaborative projects.

Our mission is simple: to encourage the creation of new work through creating publishing opportunities for passionate, amateur writers.
It is our belief that the biggest suppressant of emerging creatives is the inability to retain positivity and, in a theatrical world which is relying heavily upon titular scripts to create interest, preserving amateur optimism is harder than ever.

We want to combat this issue by presenting emerging writers with publishing opportunities- allowing them to enhance their CV through publishing their work, whilst also developing networks for them to build connections upon.
ACCESSIBILITY
Accessibility is at the core of what Hummingbird Publications is about, and it is our intention to make sure that progression is available to everyone. By utilising a digital creative space, physical location and finances are not obstacles for a writer’s progression, but instead allows for their digital footprints to be enhanced on their journey towards a professional career.

A digital space also allows for our publications to be cheaper to produce and purchase. Not only are we able to offer art at a lower selling price, but writers are free to work without restrictions on page length; something which would not be possible within the logistics of physical publishing.

We further make art accessible by offering opportunities for amateur growth and development by connecting and promoting artists who are actively trying to advance their career, but are struggling to do so. By becoming part of the Hummingbird community, writers will be invited to work on collaborative projects, become part of writer’s rooms, and will be profiled and promoted on our website at no cost.
